We are strong believers at Abbotsbury that people are our main asset. We encourage our employees at all levels of our business to achieve the highest standards of professionalism in all they do and we undertake to treat them fairly and with the courtesy and respect they deserve. As our organisation has grown so too have the employment opportunities we can offer. As well as supporting and developing our senior staff, we are strong supporters of both apprenticeship and graduate schemes to help talented and ambitious young people develop a career in the construction industry. Abbotsbury Contractors offers scope for personal development in support of both the goals of the business and individual career aspirations.
Health and Safety
At Abbotsbury Contractors, we are always trying to create the safest possible working environment and foster continuous training and development with a strong emphasis on health and safety. We are fully committed to a process of demonstrable, continuous improvement in the pursuit of health and safety excellence. Adaptive systems and controls enable us to proactively manage our health and safety activity with the aim of achieving zero accidents. We have external health and safety inspections carried out on all sites by qualified professionals to ensure safe practices are being adhered to at all times.
At Abbotsbury Contractors we consider our environmental performance just as important as our performance on site and look to minimise the negative impact of our operations, whilst maximising the potential for environmental improvement. We have regularly internal meeting to review our environmental strategy and discuss best practice in this area. Construction activity often consumes significant quantities of finite natural resources and we believe environmental aspects should be an important consideration in all built environment investments throughout their whole life-cycle. That is why we are continually setting new environmental goals to reduce the impact of all our activities.
We understand that there are often a number of stakeholders when it comes to construction activities. Wherever we work, we take appropriate measures to ensure that minimum disruption is caused to all parties effected in the delivery of projects. Community relations are actively encouraged as a sign of the respect we have to the communities in which we work, over and above those defined by law.
